LIVE:

[wersja polska]

In the area of today's Benin, there's a small village. Its inhabitants live far from all the civilisation, but in perfect harmony. Their newborn babies are given to pythons, which look after them and protect from dangerous bushes. This village is called Osada Vida.

Two mates - Adam Podzimski and Lukasz Lisiak - both having the same music tastes. They persuaded the third friend - Blazej Kubica - to join them. First music sessions, first songs. They did not choose one style of playing, everything was born itself. They accepted only one limit in music - no limits at all. The music means pleasure of playing and joy of listening. It did succeeded. But something was missing. The sound wasn't full enough.
Rafal Paluszek - soon appeared, listened to their music and stayed in the band. Osada Vida had its first inhabitants. The whole was fullfilled by a singing Magda Hajda and Luca Juraszek - a lead guitarist.
In fact everyone was different, like from other story, but everyone had already played the music. However, they understood each other and created their own melodies. Each of them added something from himself and that's how Osada Vida mixture was made.
They recorded their sounds on silver discs. First "Critical Moment" (2000), next "Heading For The Moon" (2002) and finally "Osada Vida" (2004). A few people heard the last CD and somehow they affected Osada Vida's fate. Positive reviews, invitations for concerts, sold cd's. Such things inspire, give new energy to create. But not for all. Magda and Luca decide to leave he band and "move" to different music areas.
The moment of hestitation. A short break. Decision. And here comes Bartek Bereska. Young, talented, full of enthusiasm. And always somehow close to Osada. They started playing together. It really worked. So now there are four of them. The first concert together - really fullfilling. So let's get to work.
New ideas blossom and new sounds are born. Finally "Three Seats Behind A Triangle" is released. Every day brings something new. Osada Vida welcomes those who have an open mind and want to listen to sounds without clasifying.

Much happened in 2007...
In April we officially released "Three Seats Behind A Triangle". However, we said "good bye" to our first publisher e-Silesia, which did nothing to promote our music.
Luckily, we soon signed a contract with Metal Mind Productions - the biggest rock/metal label in Poland. In December MMP released a special, remastered edition of "Three Seats..." (the edition included 2 bonus tracks). This edition will be available on 28th January 2008 in Europe and on 15th April 2008 in USA (via MVD www.mvdb2b.com).
We want to thank all music webzines and websites outside Poland for all positive (mostly ;) rewievs of our debut album. These are very important for us and we count on them also in the future.
Promoting "Three Seats..." we played many concerts, amongst which, the ones with FISH and Riverside are the most significant. We had a great fun! You can find a few fragments of the gig with Riverside in Cracow at www.youtube.com/osadavida
Well, the year 2008 has started very busily for us, although it seems to be quite interesting.
In May 2008 we're hoping to welcome our new album. We still don't know the exact date of release, but we'll let everybody know as soon as possible. In the nearest future we'll present a cover and title of our new album.
So, we still hope you will stay with us and visit our website! You're really welcome!

From 17th March, Osada Vida is coming into the studio to record a follower of "Three Seats Behind A Triangle" warmly welcomed both by listeners and critics. The new record called "The Body Parts Party" will include 8 songs:
1. Body
2. Liver
3. Brain
4. Tongue
5. Spine
6. Heart
7. Muscle
8. Bone

We also know the new cover. Graphics as well as titles of songs seem a bit "anatomical". However it only appears to be such. "The Body Parts Party" is a concept album, which describes people’s feelings and emotions - negative and positive ones. It’s also about thoughts and reflections on a man’s ordinary, everyday existence. All this is pictured and expressed through a given body part. As for music, Osada Vida is naturally developing its style, which was already presented on the previous album. So you can expect to find here prog rock, metal, jazz, but ambient music and alternative rock as well.
The new record will be released by Metal Mind Productions, most likely in 2 versions: "ordinary" CD and Digipak containing 2 bonus tracks. "The Body Parts Party" will be released on 16th June 2008 in Europe and 8th July 2008 in USA (via MVD).
